What's the best way to remove over spray from my replacement rear light lense ??

I got a replacement sent through today, but there seems to be a few specs of paint on them.

There also a bit mucky, any suggestions for the best way to clean them up (dishwasher/wife etc) ??

For the oversparay, I'd clay them with a mild claybar like either the Meguiar's 'quik clay' kit (don't get the 'smooth surface' kit as it's twice the price and contains stuff you probably don't need). Or Sonus 'green' that I use together with a suitable lubricant. This will 'skim' off the overspray specs in the same way as it deals with similar contaminants on paint.

As for cleaning them up, if you're working by hand rather than by machine polishing (which would get them crystal perfect btw), then Meguiar's ScratchX is great for cleaning and polishing up lights and will remove most, if not all of the light scratches and hazing.

dead easy and its thinners or t cut or rubbing compound, a flat razor will fook it up, i only use a razor on vans taking off decals and you have to be very carefull even then or glass which never scratches unless the blade has damage.

t cut mate had to do my rear lights other day.then used normal polish and now look brand spanking new

 

i'd use meguiars quik clay,then meguiars plasti-x for giving the lens a pukka shine(i use it on my phone screen to remove scratches)

 

T-Cut would be the cheapest and it works like a charm mate.
