For the oversparay, I'd clay them with a mild claybar like either the Meguiar's 'quik clay' kit (don't get the 'smooth surface' kit as it's twice the price and contains stuff you probably don't need). Or Sonus 'green' that I use together with a suitable lubricant. This will 'skim' off the overspray specs in the same way as it deals with similar contaminants on paint.

As for cleaning them up, if you're working by hand rather than by machine polishing (which would get them crystal perfect btw), then Meguiar's ScratchX is great for cleaning and polishing up lights and will remove most, if not all of the light scratches and hazing.
