I really want to have a go at this on my series 2 at the end of summer. For some reason i undersealed my arches afew years ago , what did you use to get the underseal off ? Was it just up on axle stands or was you lucky enough top have a ramp ?

There is various options to get underseal off you can try petrol or something similar to remove it and i need be wire wheels etc. I have just done the underneath of my Rs with it only up on axle stands a pain in the hoop
I took it right back to the factory primer , then treated any surface rust then prepped the metal , sprayed 3M on the underside , then several coats of hammerite and for good measure waxyoil
Well worth it in the end for piece of mind etc

What he said. You will need about 4 wire wheels on a drill/grinder.
A pain in the arse and should take about 5-7 hours, but well worth it.
The only trouble is that your floor will look so nice it will put your suspension to shame,so you have to get that all powdercoated.
Ends up like this.

Yes you can 2pac and laquer over it,but for durrability i,d recommend SMOOTH HAMMERITE.They come in most ford colours,i.e: RED,WHITE,BLACK,GREY E.C.T.

Thats a nice 3 door shell mate, I am doing mine at the moment, I have coilovers as well ... lot of work but I will get there. I even have to rotisserie like you...
I lost some time as I put under body sealant on then after a lot of talk I decided to rip the lot off to bare metal and now Im putting 2 pack on (can do that here as no snow). I also converted my rear beam to group A and strenthened trailing arms... next step is to make trailing arms fully adjustable.
