just want something to give a nice shine as the next gen wax is good but the car is black so needs a real deep shine,
may try some mothers stuff. this may be getting a little expensive for me

@ gingerRS,i'm not a concours expert or anything even close,I just like to keep my cars well polished and clean etc.I normally use Autoglym Super Resin Polish, but last year I put a coat of Autoglym Extra Gloss Protect that you are asking about on top of it.I found the results absolutely fantastic!!!
It was on my 2003 metallic grey golf. All the swirl marks, spider webs (hope my descriptions here are making sense!!) that could be seen when the sun hit the paint were gone. The paint looked like glass,so smooth and with a very deep shine,it looked like the paint had "depth",like you were looking into the paint. It made the car so easy to wash, all I needed to wash the car was cold water and the dirt flowed off.The rain continued to bead for 6 months, truthfully. So I'm going to continue to use the Autoglym Extra Gloss Protect.Im sure that more experienced concours people will think its rubbish and laugh at my thoughts, but to the above average car nut its very very good.Regards Micky

Got to agree the extra gloss protection is really good quality stuff. I have used Auto Glym for years, and also Meguiars which is good cleaning products, however the smooth and easy to apply extra gloss by auto glym is excellent, and the shine afterwards is outstanding too!
