What do you use your pc for?
As title?
Use mine mostly for the internet, i.e MSN messenger i use alot and just general surfing/downloading
Oh and music, cant forget music can we
And games, dont really play the top titles on my pc, just use the trusty old ps2 for that, does me fine
What about you guys? i know there some serious gamers browse this section of pf

Just surfing really - forums, info, along with MSN type stuff, email (of course) and music - my PC has bascially taken over the place of my hi fi now - in fact the only thing my hifi does is take the sound from the PC and send it thru the speakers, and play minidiscs 
I don't bother using it for video's, like watching DVD's n stuff as I'd rather use my TV and proper DVD player (since my machine only has a 17" TFT and onboard gfx card, the TV and DVD player are better anyway)
At some point tho I wanna get one of these stupidly large plasma/LCD screens and run the TV/DVD etc and PC all on one screen

Mainly for the internet and some designing so it has to have a half decent spec but on the odd occasion i do play some graphicly demanding games and when i play games i want them to look as good as possible, that why i bought a 350 quid Nvidia 7800GTX

Apart from the usual email, internet use etc..
I use mine as my:
- TV
- Personal Video Recorder
- DVD player
- CD Player
- Radio Player
- FTP Server
- CCTV Server
- ICS Server
Thats about all I can think of, Also I do a hell of a lot of video processing like making up DVDs from downloaded / ripped Films and Tv Programs.
I've 670Gb disk storage to fit all that in
Running Windows XP Media Center - love it! -
Im gonna break all these jobs up across several PCs. As media center needs to run on its own really. Along with a seperate pc for FTP and CCTV and maybe video processing. And then just a half decent pc for everyday use
