Can an underpowered PSU cause high CPU temps? Mines going up to 70 odd degrees and games keep freezing. I think it's the PSU that's causing it because it's the only thing I've changed recently since my other one died on me.
Which brings me to my next question
Can anyone recomend a good PSU?
Cheers

I swear by Enermax power-supplies, and always have done......currently running a 600W "Noisetaker", has two fans in it (one in the rear and one in the underneath to pull air away from the CPU).
I'd also suggest, if your CPU is getting hot, changing the CPU fan & heatsink, and making sure it's seated correctly with thermal paste...

i rekon best thing is water cooling from coolermasters only Ł100 and my mates cpu is no higher than 30 degrees now
plus you can add it onto your graphic cards, ram, everything
and no noise
also what game are you playing when it freezes
i just had the same problem with mine and it turned out my graphics card was causing it not my cpu

Water cooling sounds.............................cool
as for games, Pro evo 5 is OK but as soon as I play something like MOH or Colin 05 or Tiger Woods it don't like it
the grafix card is a 6600GT and has been trouble free.
