I sit here with...
AMD X2 4200+
1GB Ballistix Memory
Maxtor Atlas II 15krpm U320 SCSI drive
Antec P180 enclosure
But cant get hold of the motherboard and videocard of my choice.
Its sucks to sit here and not be able to use them. I can literally see how they loose their value.

Was supposed to get the video card and mother board last tuesday but some thief nicked the stores parcel with £10k worth of video cards.
So now I don't have a clue when they will get hold of more cards. Was promised parts for today but no luck with that.

Nice spec, what you do have!
Which video card did you order?
At least you have some of your parts ready, I'm sat here so tempted to order the following:
AMD Athlon64 4000
2 * 1GB OCZ Platinum PC3200 cas2-3-2-5
Maxtor MaxLine 24/7 300GB SATA
Silverstone TEMJIN J05B-X case (black, thermal-monitor LED-screen, side-window)
Asus A8N32-SLi Deluxe motherboard
512MB XFX GeForce 7800GTX XXX-Edition
About £1400's worth there!

I was going for the A8N32 but its sold out everywhere around me and I noticed the design/placing of the PCIe and PCI ports have changed to the worse.
So, I bought the older A8N-Premium and started building the system.
I ordered a Leadtek 7800GTX 512MB but as I wrote above it was stolen during shipment. Dont have a clue when a replacement might turn up.
Im thinking about going 7800GT x 2 instead as that would be cheaper and faster. Just need to check out the sound level of the GT as ive been told its quite noisy?.
Dan, we are crazy spending this money on a PC

Decided that was a little TOO much to pay, even for me!

Got the video card now.
As the 7800GTX 512MB still was out of stock and the 7800GT dropped quite a bit in price today at my local computer store I went for SLI with dual 7800GT.
About £40 cheaper than the elusive 7800GTX 512MB but quite a bit faster. After all im a cosworth owner so I had to go for the product with most bang for the buck.

System finally up and running.
Had to change the stock cooling fans on the 7800GT as they are proper loud. Good thing is the system is very silent even with SLI and 15k rpm drives.
Bit crowded in there, aint it?

Crowded, just a little!
Although what's that ribbon-cable plugged into? Am liking that CPU-cooler, though, looks nice and powerful! What sort of 3dMark05 score are you looking at, with SLi'd 7800GTs?
