Use Nokia PC suite from www.nokia.com or Oxygen Phone Panager II from http://www.opm-2.com/
Oxygen Phone manager allows you to remove your operator logo too

On a similar note, i'm having trouble with the data cable on my 6230. I installed the disc, but it says there's a fault with the drivers. Click 'update drivers' and it says that the best driver is installed. If I connect the cable to the PB, then the phone it doesn't do anything. I'm also not getting a multi-usb icon in System-Device Manager. Found the online instruction booklet, but still not working.
Have tried uninstalling, then re-installing..but nothing. Pee-ing me off now as I wanna save some pics from my phone !!
Any help gratefully received

I got it from a mobile phone stall in our shopping centre..altho they're not there now
It is deffo the right one for the phone: it has a 'for 6320/330' sticker embossed on the cable end. The disc has the 'driver inc application software' on it & is compatible with my comp operating system.

I'm pretty sure it's a DKU-2 cable. The software you have should contain the setup for the drivers. This needs to be installed 1st before connecting the cable. If it hasn't got those drivers, then it won't work I'm afriad

Oh..ok.
No..there are errors with the 5.8 set-up. Hold on, i'll put them in photobucket...
And here's the email:
Followed the instructions & installed the driver from the link. That went ok. Clicked 'finish' & it then said I had to restart the comp. So I did, then when it restarted, it came up with the 'updating hardware' icon.
When that had finished, I re-followed the instruction: plugged in the phone & lead to comp. Nothing.
The next bit is a bout the drivers, so I put in the disc & went to 'add hardware' in control panel. It found the drivers, so I though tit was ok. Went to PC Suite, and that now won't work. I'm running ME, so following the instructions, went for PC Suite 5.8 as directed, but it has errors. (See pics).
Also, when I open 'system' in control panel, then 'device manager' & there is an exclamation mark against the USB icon (as if there is a problem). Clcik properties & it says there is a problem with the drivers. Clicked on 'update drivers' and it reads the disk & says that the 'best drivers are installed'..but the comp still doesn't recognise the phone when I plug the usb in.
Does the comp need PC Suite to be working before it will find the phone ?

Right, unistall PC suite, uninstall the DKU drivers, unplug the cable, go to device manager and then make sure the usb cable with the explanation mark is not there.
Download the latest version of Nokia PC suite from here
http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,,72014,00.html.
Restart the computer.
Run the DKU 2 setup file downloaded from here http://www.mobymemory.com/Content/HO...ivers.469.html
then re-start the pc.
Check it in device manager, if there's still an issue with the drivers then i'd suggest getting a new cable off e-bay. Or a bluetooth dongle off www.ebuyer.com

Shawn - is this for a 6230? Or a phone with a memory card in it?
The easiest (and quickest) way to transfer files from the PC to the phone is by using one of these;
Just plug it in your USB socket (unless you use win98 you won't need any drivers) and it shows up as additional storage drives (like the hard drive)
I bought my years ago for my digi cam mem card (as i lost the camera>pc cable and it was cheaper to get a card reader than a new Fuji cable) and it also accepts my 6230's MMC card (nowadays these card readers read and write to 20+ different cards!!!)
It is soooooo much quicker and easier to transfer stuff this way.
My sis has a nokia phone (can't remember which) which don't have a seperate mem card, so I bought here a DKU-5 data cable, set it up with the software etc and it works, but it is slow (and cains the mobile battery) Plus she has to turn off PC, connect phone, restart for it to recognise the phone is connected)
