I got an audio track here, that says it is Windows Media File, but it's extension is actually .asf

Anyway, I want to burn it to a CDR as an ausio track, so I can copy it to Minidisc, but when I open Nero and select "make audio CD" it doesn't show up in the folder. Neither does it do it when I select "make MP3 disc"

In fact it only lets me copy it to a CD as a data only file

I have a couple of converters on here (Cheeter audio converter and another one) but doth of them won't allow the track to be converted

When I downloaded the track I had to install a "CD checker" which checks the authenticity of the original CD, then downloads the track from the bands website, then also downloads a "liscence agreement" (which I need otherwise I am not authorised to even play the track on my PC), which is odd, cos it says "you can now download the bonus track and it is your to do with as you want. Listen to it, copy, delete and burn to CD - not for resale though"

So why can't I burn it off?

 

Use Nero Burning Rom to encode it, click on extra's, then encode file, then hopefully it will convert the .asf file to .mp3 for you, then you can burn it to disc.

Nero and most other cd-r programs will only burn .mp3 or .wma files
