Default How do I network my printer?

Right, I got two PC's - 1 upstairs (old crappy machine, running Win 2k Pro) and one downstairs (half decent Dell system running XP SP2), both connected to to a "SafeCom" broadband router. THe router has 5 inputs on it - 4 LAN ports and a USB port aswell - so I pressume I could plug my printer into this?

How do I get both PC's to recognise the printer and, err, print to it

I get a pop up box when I click "share" on the XP machine about being insecure from hackers if I choose the share option..... Should I just do it anyway or am I opening a gateway?

It wants me ro run the NETWORK SET UP WIZARD - and install a network!?!?!?

As xpackcapri says

Only other thing to check is that they have the same workgroup name, XP Home SP2 default is MSHOME, both PC's need to be changed to the same workgroup
