Few people in work were chatting about it today, its out midnight tonight isnt it?

I dont play my PS3 very often nowadays but thinking about getting this as its meant to be really good(as most GTA's tend to be)

Funny thing is i went on to play.com expecting to see it plastered all over the home page but theres nothing there at all, cant even find it on the websites search function?

the video doesnt show the character flying an F18 or using a gatling gun. Just because its in the background doesnt mean you can use it.

You can fly the jet, it's in the army base.

As for the gattling gun, it's in the game so I don't see why not.


I've not bought the game. It does look pretty amusing but Far Cry 3 has some of these features. I love the whole animal interaction thing but in gta you just punch a cow and it's dead In Far Cry all the various animals take more realistic amounts effort to kill. The animals add a great angle to a game like this, in Far Cry you can be immersed in a long mission and get taken out by a Tiger. Or if you're outside an enemy camp sometimes they have a tiger or bear in a cage, shoot the lock off the cage door and let the animal run riot killing half the bad guys before they manage to kill it

I think something must of happened with my install.

When I first started playing it the intro was just skybox and people! And a few of the early missions I was just crashing into invisible cars that hadn't loaded in yet.

I've since re-installed and its a bit better, still got texture pop-in and frame rate drops.

That cant be right, im on ps3 and it runs nice, no invisible cars etc, dont know if xbox is different but rockstar quoted they run similar?

Thing is...although red dead was good......gta is much much more popular. They would be stupid not to release it for pc and next gen as its almost free money to them. They would lose a lot of extra potential earnings for the product....

plus would make a lot more people happy.
I think they have done a great job with the graphics considering what they had to work with.
ive got it on xbox 360. I cant say i have seen anything like pop up problems like you. The odd frame rate drop,but i sort of expected that. Nothing too bad. Rather that than screen ripping all over the place.

i think its a great game. It has met my expectations so far and my bar was very high.
i wouldnt hesitate to trade it in towards a xbox one version and start all over again lol.

34 hours so not to bad, only done 67% but all the main missions are done that's what the credits are for.
