Yep, appears Sony said what they had to to get the crowd going and less than 24 hrs later saying the power is with the publisher....same thing what Microsoft said... Although Microsoft is still a step further needing 24hr connection.

In reality, both next gen consoles are fucked.......

 

Didn't think it would take long, as I couldn't understand how a certain publisher could charge xbox owners for a license but no ps4 owners for the same game, it just wouldn't of worked.

 

Oh thats been the word from day one. Its always been up to the publishers. Same as with PC games have install keys.

I think it more the fact of Sony leaving it up to the developers and giving a bit of wiggle room, where as microsoft have gone full dictator with everything about the Xbone.

To be fair titanfall is the game that has grabbed my attention... I don't think it the xbone is too expensive. Not much difference really in price, being these consoles will take a hammering for the next 8 years.
Considering the price of smart phones etc and they still need charging every day due to shit battery's yet we are happy to pay £600 for them which last two years.....

I do tend to buy most games new, and need to buy 3 copys of games like cod,bf etc as I have 3 consoles so that thing Microsoft are doing where you can share your games with your family sounds like a good thing...... Hope they really instated xbox gold family pack again though....
Going by clips of upcoming titles I don't see any difference in performance between both consoles.......was sort of hoping ps4 would look alot better to teach xbox a lesson

Really thinking about it. Drm doesn't bother me, 24hr checks don't bother me either as I don't take consoles anywhere with me. When I go on holiday, I go to get away for this lol.I only play it online.

The only things I don't like is Microsoft attitude to, if you can't connect to the net, you can still watch tv,blue ray etc!!!! I can do that now without a fuckin xbox one and £500 still firmly in my pocket thanks.most houses have blue ray players now and can be bought for £50 upwards. Don't need to spend £430 to do this......
The other thing I hate is familiar get kinetic down your throat and it always being on. Should be optional.I want to be able to sit in my pants and play without worrying someone's gonna pop up on Skype.lol I don't like I can't disconnect it. I don't want to wave at my fuckinh telly. I'm happy with the remote that comes with the telly or vm box. Sometimes I like playing xbox in bed with the sound down while the Mrs is asleep. I would get aload of bollockings if I'm shouting get XBOX BBC ONE, XBOX GAME, XBOX ITV,

Oh ffs just don't know which one to get now. Want to stick with xbox because all of my friends have got them but don't like some of the stuff I'm hearing.

 

Planetside 2 on PS4? If it's anything like Battlefield it'll be boring! Not enough players to fill the maps.

 

Playstation seems like the better console for now, but I think I will go with xbox. Games are better( which is what I use it for) I'm not bothered if the games won't work due to them shutting servers down. I will have the newer console then. I don't play a snes now. I'm always online so checking in doesn't bother me. I've rear it uses kilobytes to ping( update.... Not even 10 meg so if you take your xbox somewhere, a quick tether from the phone sorts it out.... No biggie is it?
I love the fact I could go to a friends house, log in an play MY games straight away through cloud. I like the ideas of being able to share my collection with 10 friends/family. Makes it alot cheaper for me as my kids don't live with me.

I think the whole ps4 vs xbox thing has blown way over the top. Both consoles have drm, just ms seem more open to telling everyone. Sony throwing cheap shots to try to win. Last time round Sony did free online...xbox live was miles better.... Now they are following the ms by charging......they will be following again as drm will happen. Publishers want it. Sony have to accept it no matter how much they fight. Otherwise they will end up with a console no one will make games for. Whats a console with no games....... But at least you would have a few "hard copies"......

I was looking at maybe just getting both, but even looking at that list...... There's nothing the ps4 list that does anything for me....apart from killzone, yet titanfall looks better.

Just a shame ms are full of jobs trying to act like apple. Could of worked two years ago but do they not see people have wised to the locked in system. Do they not see apple are now losing the grip fast, and why Samsung are ripping it up.
