Default vista help please techies

hi there im wondering if any of you guys can give me some help please, yesterday my laptop crashed ,i took it to am shop and they put a fresh install of vista on my crappy old laptop, and all my drivers ,anyway my pockets lighter but my laptops running like new this afternoon, but my c drive 75 gig has a folder named "old windows"which is taking up a massive amount of space on my drive, theres no documents or anything personal i have in that folder,
so would it be ok to deleite the "old windows" folder from the c drive .so i can put all my music and pictures back on my laptop, and still have space for more in the future or will it cause problems ,any advice to an old man who isnt great on tech stuff would be brilliant
thank you Dave

it would seem they have installed a fresh copy of windows over the top of your old one, not a good way to do it.
if they could not have revived it then they should have reformatted the hard drive and then reinstalled windows.
you should be able to delete it without any issues, its bacically whats left of the old windows system.
