Default Buying a gaming PC

I've taken a fancy to a PC as I'm getting bored of the over priced, downgraded games that PS3 provide.

My budget is looking to be around the £600-700 mark.

Just stumbled across this, http://www.dinopc.com/shop/pc/Veloce...ge-94p1007.htm What do you think to that?

Any help is appreciated
Ben.

Does that budget include the need for a monitor?

Looking at the link if you want it for gaming i'd go for an i7 processor...

the graphics card is the weak link in that setup otherwise it looks ok

have you thought about building your own?

quick look .. its ok ..
go for more memory and a sata III hard drive ... £765

but...
i would personally change...
the graphics card,(prefer ati)
the power supply,(like corsair)
the case,(personal choice)
the memory,(64 bit system might have 16gb)
the hard drive,(sata III)
the display, (asus led)

oops £899 bugger i can spend money easily enough

all depends on what you want to do with it ..
i have always spent more than i have budgeted for, building your own is fun and you can always add another graphics card or a better on in a year or so .. had mine 3 years now and spent £900 in total on it.. just started to tell its age on bf3, but thats just the graphics card ..

mate has just spent £250 on a graphics card and bf3 is awesome on his 24" display
although he built his 2 years ago and spent £1500 on an i7 tripple channel system with ssd drive .. boots up in seconds though

did some looking up on them, seems to have a reasonable review on some of the bits .. but i would prefer something more well known personally .. although they obviously rate them to give that sort of cover ...

Completely forgot I even put up this thread

I have thought about it yes, would it work out much cheaper? I've never done anything like it before so would it be tricky?

Ben.

cases are a pain ... alot is how it looks to you .. but if you are going for a gaming machine cooling is important. running Game at high detail will work the processor and graphics card so heat builds up quickly. i have an antec900 and dont have issues with heat at all
