Ps3 or xbox?
this has probably been asked before but i need to know which is best. im not the best and not the most commited gamer in the world and just want something to pass a bit of time on the long winter evenings. if xbox then which one? i very much doubt i will go online.
PC gaming is superior, there is no argument.

You couldn't be wrong, the ps3 and xbox are actually shit for gaming, the lag and shit graphics on such games as BF3, COD etc is laughable at the side of an average pc
i have both, but id i could only have one id go for Ps3, but its all down to personal preference, i prefer the PS3 controls as i find the xbox ones too chunkey, dont like the idea of having to pay to play online (alot of people say xbox is better online but the only difference i know of is the cross game chat, but i have a phone so it doesnt bother me lol) you can have more people play on one PS3 console too for games like fifa etc.....imo its the bettwe console....
Halo..... so you dont have to wait years for it to come out on Pc lol dont do PC games myself, got a high spec PC, but got crysis and COD4 for it much cant get along with using keyboard and mouse....
Thats fine if thats your opinion about not liking playing games on a pc, but the fact still reminas a pc will blow the ps3 and xbox out of the water in terms of gfx, lag, loading times etc
i do know what im on about on prices ive had every type of xbox and ps3 also bought the mrs her pc for gaming pc their was a huge difference in price unless pc world is proper expensive if so sorry for argument dont want to fall out with any one on here
I'm only saying mate, no hard feelings
PC World do some good deals these days, but generally, pre-built rigs are more expensive for obvious reasons, hence me saying you can build one for a good price. If you know what you're doing though.
The only downside to PC's is that the components need updating quite often, so it can get an expensive hobby. But then so are cars.
Ben.

Not another one of these threads,
wait till the fan boys get on.
Depends on what you want to get out of it TBH.
My two pence,
XBOX for just games, it's cheaper and has a wide selection, the kinect is also pretty sweet, but having to pay to use the online gaming is a bit of a fucking con TBH. But then again a lot of PS3 games you now have to buy online passes as companies are setting up dedicated servers for their games as I understand it.
PS3 for an all round media centre, blue ray and 3D movies and games are great, mostly free online multiplayer, pretty decent selection of games. Sadly not enough to compete with XBOX selection, but then again most of the bit ones come on both consoles anyway. Plus you can turn your PS3 into a freeview recorder and use catchup TV on it too. So it really helps get rid of all of them bloody boxes from under your TV. Bit more expensive thou.
But, if you do have some cash to spend, then get a PC. Bit more of a faf to hook it up to your TV for on demand stuff, but really you can compete for the power you can put into a decent rig. However, don't spend £400-£500 on a game rig, you'll have to upgrade it after a short while, spend some bucks and get something that will last a few years. Before upgrading.

Al get a charging cable for your xbox you tight get pmsl. They're both good for the reasons stated above. If it comes down to initial outlay and its purely for games get xbox. If you can afford the ps3 and want what else it can offer then get that. Best get both.
depends on what games you wanna play...
certain games are in reality better on a pc...
as stated above ps3 is good for a media centre aswell if you have bluray discs or are thinking of getting them.... xbox good all rounder games machine and you can stream stuff easily enough via a pc on the same network ..... there is no definative answer as to which one is best ...
i have a good pc and x box .. pc has lasted me for 3 years and is good enough to play most games.. again all depends on what you want to do ....i feel xbox is more what your after however the online part is a good thing.....
