ive got ps2, if u get the old type, u can get a hd for it and WONT need it chipped to backup any original games u might purchase
ive got all my originals now safely up the loft and all 37 games playable direct from the hard drive.
And I still keep the warranty.

Well... I couldnt decide so bought neither. 
Will probably put the deposit down on a PSP and wait for the PS3 and XBox 360... Then either ask again or get both
