game are having a midnight opening, so you can pre order at game, pay another Ł5 for the extras aswell, im going down weds to pre order mine nd will be there on midnight for release just wish i had my motorbike so i can get home faster lol

EA have been very sneaky with the PC version of the game.

The invited every reviewer to a review party in las vegas. All expense paid trip to go and play it on a pc specifically built for BF3. Any reviewers who did not attend got a "origin" code that will not unlock until 5 minutes after the games release.

Sounds a bit dodgy.

but its released tonight at midnight

no point in buying the disc as you will still have to download it from origin the only thing the disc gives you is the key where you can just download it and install it ready for tonight, plus with the download you get the extra maps free where if you buy the disc you have to pay extra to get them

 

I'm waiting patiently for my pre ordered pc version to arrive. You'll need a gtx 580 to play it at ultra settings at a decent res and frame rate by the way.

My rig should be able to handle it ok i think

Oh and a dedicated sound card makes a difference, there's no arguements about it, i've got an Msi Big bang X Power motherboard which comes with a separate pci-e Quantum wave audio card which is Thx certified, has Creative Alchemy and also eax 5.0 hd so probably one of the best "onboard sound" solutions and i've just replaced it with a dedicated card, the creative x-fi titanium and believe me it's like night and day. My Razer Mako thx speakers have come alive and my Roccat kave 5.1 headset seems like a different headset all together, with the audio being crystal clear and the bass nice and tight.

the game runs ona ll high and runs like a dream with no heating heating issues and very fast, ive been playing the game for 3 days now its just insane so much going on everywhere and the graphics are amazing in every detail

im playing on pc, it gets released tonight at midnight but korea had it 3-4 days ago, so just change ya internet connectio to a korean one game accepts you job done swap back to normal connection and you can play all you want hence ive been playing it and all servers were full and theres loads lol

 

But i gather you had the digital download and pre installed it then used the korean thing to activate early ????.

yes mate, even if you have disc you still have to download it lol no point in having a disc copy as the game isnt on there and they charge you extra for the extra maps where the download the extras are free and its on your machine ready to play

 

What a load of crap with it not being on the disk, total rip off really. What if you only want it for the single player and you dont have internet lol.

I've got the disc version for PC. It was delivered today, so I've been playing this afternoon (no need of any Korean whatsit). Excellent game. Also, you get the code for the first DLC, Karkand map. You do need to be connected to the internet though, even for SP.

 

Not if you picked up the limited edition you don't. You get the B2K DLC free

 

I wouldnt say a total rip off.

You can pay Ł29 for a disc with a code on.
Or pay Ł39.99 on origin.

 

Still think it's a bit shit if the actual game isnt even on the disk so you can install it, but they prob did it to try and stop pirate copies.

but how many maps do you get as we get 5 not just karkland

 

My mate just dropped off my copy. You have to install Origin, then it installs off the disc through Origin. So you don't have to download it.
I'm pretty sure my internet will not download at 25mb a second which is how quick its going.
