Default Help! Got a wanky virus on my home computer...

Got crappy windows vista and it won't let me back up restore. Everytime I try to or go on the Internet it comes up 'This file is infected' or similar is there a way round it? What else can I do?

Got AVG and won't let me open that either, any ideas?

Cheers

Boot the PC up in safe mode (when it's booting up press F8) Choose safe mode with networking, Download spybot search and destroy, it should find the virus and that should do the trick, well it sorted mine anyway!
It also changes internet explorer to connect through a proxy server, to get rid of this go to IE properties click the connection tab, LAN settings the untick the box!

sounds like you have the virus that pretends to be a anti virus program
you get it when you get what seems like a windows warning window saying you are not protected ect

there are removal tools available on line

stat wise its commenly found on gay porn websites you have a confession to make ?

malware or spybot s&d will sort it.

I had a virus the other week that absolutely fubared my pc, now im quite good with pc's and stuff, but after spending about a day trying to sort it i decided it was time for a format, at least it cleaned all the crap offf my pc and now is quicker because of it.
