My PC keeps popping a bubble up stating that im running low on disk space, the drive in question is the HP recovery one. It says i need to delete files to create space , yet it wont bloody let me delete any - or ahould i say it dosent show any files, it just warns me not to delete any
Any suggestion please?

sounds like you have a extra HD installed purely for recovery saved files, this won't be very big and depending on the settings of the recovery system will fill up as you save stuff on main system HD.
solution....
Access recovery settings to make sure its saving only stuff you need saved.
ie: pictures, web favourites.
To view the files on that HD you will prob need to enable hidden files to be shown goto top of the window and select.
Tools > Folder options > then click the view tab, then you will see the option to tick a box to show hidden files.
you will need to be system admin to delete the files i think depending on the recovery system i have no experience of HP one but they are pretty much the same.
After checking the recovery prog is only saving stuff you need it to.
then it will be prob best to delete old saved data or poss overwrite letting the program control it. (only do this if the computer is running fine no point creating a system restore to a unstable point)
other option is like as mentioned have a external HD with loads of space free they are great could not be without mine.

dlatch, cheers mate. Tried that, still wont show the files! If i format the recovery(as there was nothing in there before idecided to do a recovery/install would it do harm?
When HP built your pc, they divided your hard drive into 2 sections. One section is setup as normal, and the other is hidden or locked so virus's cant tamper with it. Inside the hidden or locked partition, it will contain the windows installation files incase you need to restore your computer after a serious crash or want to returning back to how it left the factory deleting everything you put on it.
It's been a while since i've seen a HP system, but some where in the programs menu, it should have a HP or system recovery section, check the options there.
It may say delete old restore points/backups.

must be a option somewhere to access the files maybe its in the bios screen, i did use a HP system years ago but you could change settings on that using the windows system restore as it was tied in together.
you do need to be slightly carefull as it would be easy to wipe the thing back to original install lol
how adventurous you want to be depends on what you have saved on there.
no info with the comp about the recovery system?
