XP Startup programs...How do i stop them?

Default XP Startup programs...How do i stop them?

Got loads of programs on startup all running in the background.

How do i stop them loading on startup, anyone know???

I think in XP, you can do Start -> Run -> msconfig

This gives you a list of programs that "startup" when XP opens......just be careful what you disable.

download system mechanic ,that has a start up manager on it ,very good too

Click on Start -> Run -> and type in MSCONFIG, click on Startup, and untick the items you don't want to load.
