For the past 2 hrs I have been battling with the printer and PC just to print a page off!!!!!!!!!!
For some reason, my PC constantly refuses to accept it has a printer attached, and installed, to it, so when you turn it on, it tells new new hardware has been added
And then makes you go though the whole install process again
Which I only did last Wed when I needed to print a page
Now I have had to reboot the PC half a dozen times, reinstall the printer twice, configure it, and finally, FINALLY got it to print - then it fucked up the print, chewed the paper and told me it was out of paper
Which it isn't, cos I have loaded another 3 dozen sheets of paper to it, and it scans and copy's fine, but refuses to print insisting it's out of paper!

How in the FUCK can I convince this stupid fucking PC that it isn't out of fucking paper? You press print and it just shows a mini icon in the task tray showing the document queued for printing, saying it's out of paper and it does nothing

Fucking Windows

Had to reboot the PC AGAIN to get it to print, and then it printed it wrong - wanted it to print on both sides of the page, which I told it to do about a million times) but of course, after the reboot it forgot this, began printing before the desktop even came up (so no chance to check it's settings) and printed it on two pages
Goddam I would LOVE to meet Bill Gates and explain to him in no uncertain terms that he's a fuckwit

2) How the fuck do you know what I know and what I don't?
3) Fuck off with your steps
It's a simple conflict between the shonky software supplied by HP and Windows, which is a shit OS - ismple as that. Never EVER had this problem with other printer manufacturers - and I've installed a good few thanks very much.

2. Double Duh!!!....i know you cant setup a printer in a windows (hence this thread)
3. Ok
If windows is so bad...and of course its nothing to do with you not doing something right or missing something out....why dont you fuck off windows alltogether? Install linux or use a mac...see if you can do that genital Thrush?

Thrush has asked for advice. If you cant give it, or dont have something constructive to add, then please refrain from posting; even more so in the manner that you are posting.
Thanks.

In my 1st post i merely stated the opinion that thrush was "pc illiterate" - which i believe to be the problem with the printer, for that i get told to "fuck off". Is that acceptable?
Is this because i have only a few posts and someone else has loads? Or is thrush your mate?
Lots of Love,
Chris
No it doesnt mean that, it means that comments like "Bill Gates has more IQ in his skid marks than you have in your house" will not be tolerated on a post that someone is seeking advice on.
Post count means fuck all to me. If someone with 20k+ posts responded in the same way you did they would get told the same.
Thrush isnt a mate either. He is a fellow poster on PF.
Like I said, if you want to help then help. If you dont then dont.
I also think that if you search around the computers and IT room you will find Thrush isnt as "PC illiterate" as you think he is, hence the "fuck off" comment.

I still think my 1st post wasnt all that bad to deserve to be told to "fuck off".... it was tongue in cheek (to an extent!).
FWIW, sounds like incorrect drivers to me. Over and out lol!!!

1) Yeah, makes sense
2) Erm, I can't? Even tho I have installed it three times on here already, plus the countless other printers and network printers I have installed for various people that all work?
In response to the quip about jacking in M$ and going with Linux or other Unix based OS - mainly cos as far as programme availability and cross-compatibility use, Windows IS the easier option. Doesn't make it any less shite tho does it? It's very nature is a self-diminishing OS. I would love to work solely with Mac's and thier native OS X, but unlike how it is in the UK, Mac usage isn't as widespread over here. Oh and could I do it? Already have. Linux (Ubuntu and Kubuntu) running on two different machines (my mates lappy that I had for a while, and my HTPC was running Kubuntu for a while) and and worked with countless Macs) Whats your point?
In response to it being the wrong drivers, considering the drivers came from HP, and are the latest build, I fail to see how they are wrong? So unless you know of better ones, I wouldn't go bandying about and informaing people they are using incorrect drivers when you actually DON'T know what drivers they are using
Which leads me back to the Mac thing - funny that Mac OS's never seem to have wrong drivers is it? In fact I can't actually think of a time I have installed something on a <ac and it has asked for a driver... But with that in mind, still, it surely that can't mean it is a Windows fault can it?
As for Adrian being "my mate" - never met the guy in my life. But I also don't have a bad word to say about him either. He's a fellow PF user, seems sound, and I have no problem getting on with him (or countless other users on here) Had Adrian had a "word" with me in this case I'd have simply apologised and said no probs, won't do it again.
In response to Adrian - to be fair pal, I actually wasn't asking for advice as such, just venting frustration
It was either that or launch the printer out the window.

And Adrian hasn't told you that you cannot respond, he's told you not to be a tool about it....
I have just read it, and you obviously aint a newbie...
My apologies, think i was just being a grumpy cunt.... but thats what working in IT support does to you....it's NEVER the users fault, always the pc.... think i thought i was still in work for a second reading your post... obviously not, my apologies.
Hope you get it sorted.
