click on "computer" then click sensor, should give you readings for hard drive and motherboard aswell.
Little tip, right click on it and select add to favorites then next time if you want it just click favs and its in there, saves arsing around trying to find it

Brycey it would look much better if you cleared the crap off the desk, put the monitor in the center of the desk and a speaker each side
Also you have the same mouse as me, its brilliant isnt it, had mine about 6-8 months now

Mouse is awesome, had it for couple of years now, got it when it first came out. Stung me for about Ł60! But worth every penny and still going strong today!

Im getting around 7200 points in 3dM06 with my 2x7800GT cards but ive just ordered a single 8800GTS now they are dumping the prices to clear stock for the 9800GTX (which aint much faster and apparently a bit louder due to a higher fan idle speed).
Still on a outdated AMD 4200+ CPU though but will get back as soon as ive installed the new card.

Ok, can anyone explain what's going wrong here then please?
I'm running Q6600 Quad, Asus ps5k (or something like that!) 2 gig memory (albeit 2x 512 and 1 x 1gb ) and ATI Radion XT2600HD card.
I just can't figure it out, is it coz my memory ain't running in dual channel due to the size differences?

The itch is back due to far Cry 2.
I bought a 4870 HD only 3 days ago and am now thinking i may rip it out and fit a 4870 1gig x2
Anyone want to buy a great video card with under 2 hrs use? Or even my Trusty 8800GT from this very topic that easily breaches 12K score on 3dmark06 with a good pc?

stu what catalyst drivers you using for your 4870? 8.12 is the latest,, and remember ati always score lower on 3d marks benchies, as it's coded for nvidia.
It's games where ati shines.. altho in farcry 2 ati doesn't have as good performance now, due to the gtx 260 216 and its new drivers.
Heres my 3dmark 06 score

I've had a 4870 for 3 months now, And I use it on a 42 inch lcd. 1600x1200.

I'll try and get a photo but the spec of this box is..
Asus P5E Motherboard
Intel Q9300 CPU
4GB Corsair XMS2 1066mhz RAM
2 x Asus HD3470 video cards (did have HD4850's but they run too hot for my liking)
2 x 160GB HD's (raid 0)
PSU blah blah blah
Vista 64 Ultimate
3 x 19" LCD's
I only really play LFS on here so the passive video cards are fine

I got bored after i repeatedly kept getting chased by the highway men when driving to destinations, and the buggers always shoot your tyres out, you get out the smoking jeep and you try to roast the enemy with your roasting gun, but it jams up and u get shot and die..

im an old school overclocker and a moderator on overclockers.com forums.
If performance is important to such as degree that you overclock, you should first consider changing your OS to one that performs better imho or at least true 64 bit OS and 64 bit applications to make the most of your processors

Although Windows is now available in 64bit flavour the vast majority of applications are not as such you are not making maximum use of the high performance multi core performance processor you have paid for.
Windows in general is ok at games, ok at office and net, ok at development and hosting while not excelling at any task at all.
When your CPU cycles, memory and other resources are being eaten up by Anti-virus, Anti-Spyware, Trojan-Scanners changing to an Operating System which does not require such products simply allows these resources to be used to make your system perform better.
If I used a PC for gaming (which I do not) prior to games which require the latest direct X requirements I would most certainly choose XP Pro, however because I use my systems for Office, Internet, Business, Development I would rather use my CPU cycles and memory to do work for me rather than to run applications to cover the failings of an old and bloated OS.
I run OSX-86, BSD and Linux on all my pc's based on performance, security, reliability, stability.

9 months later and your prediction comes true, I have Just bought myself the Radeon HD 4870 X2 and a Pioneer Blueray Player to make the most of my New Dell 24" monitor.

Xp Pro imho is the best Windows OS at this time, its reasonably stable and does what most people require, however if you have a focus on performance of a system its a fact that the compatibility of Microsoft Windows ensures that it has a great deal of legacy code, this makes it exceptionally bloated, slow, unreliable when compared to other Operating Systems.

Just use compatability mode within vista.
For the record ive used vista 64 ultimate for a few months now and its never once BSOD' or crashed. Everything works with it, including command and conquer red alert 2 and mediaval, total war 1 and 2. As well as all my apps.
My spec:
e5200 @ 3.8ghz
Tuniq tower 120
Gigabyte DS3 P45
4gb OCZ ReaperX 6400 @ 1200mhz
8800GTX (downgraded from 260gtx and dont see any lack of performance)
everything else yadda yadda
I do alot of folding@home so nvidia cards ftw.
BTW Stu, how much you want for your 8800GT ?

Sure, BSD out the box is very good - I run OpenBSD, but Linux, no thanks.
To me, performance of an operating system is how well it performs the task, and Windows 99.9% of the time performs faultlessly and easily, unlike the alternatives.
