Default Might get a PS3...........

Was thinking about it, but my setup at the moment is one pc and one phone socket in the room, the pc is connected direct to the phone socket using an ADSL modem, so its all wired in.
If i got a PS3(still debating one or two things) what would i need? i was told ill probably need a router for about £50? is that just for if i want to connect the PS3 wirelessly? or i could just use the ethernet cable couldnt i? although id need to have the PS3 near the phone socket for that wouldnt i.

Any help on what my best bet is?

yes mate you'll need a router. I think Maplin and PC World are doing good deals on Belkin or Netgear routers at the mo, around £40

Make sure you get the router with a built in modem though

All it will be for is the PS3 and the pc, so a cheaper no thrills £40 job will be fine then?

I've got my 360 and my PC hard wired to mine and 2 more PCs running wirelessly off my Belkin G router, never had any probs. The only time it starts to play up is if I take the laptop too far away but then I can normally jump on someone elses unsecured line

People have had probs with them so I can only speak from my experience and its all good, so easy to set up as well

that one is actually quicker than mine so I might upgrade

*edit* no I won't, no stock over here
