Default Computer help please

HAve got a problem with computer, when on the net, some of the pages are in a huge font and page wont fit on the screen, have to scroll left and right, and some pages are in a normal sized font but still have to scroll L and R to view page, yet some, like PF, are okay and fit okay, in a normal font. Anyone know how to get them all in a normal font, and to fit on the page so I dont have to scroll left and right? It used to be okay, then all of a sudden it went tits up.

press the button "print scrn", just to the right for "F12" button
just once

then go to paint, start-->programs-->applications->paint

hit ctrl + v

then save

then upload it to photobucket or something

Well for starters your using an old version of internet explorer.

Download the newest version from here http://filehippo.com/download_internet_explorer/

Top right click on "download latest version" install it and then see if that fixes your problem, should find everything is back to normal because the new installation of I.E will be all set to default settings

View > Text Size > Medium

having an old version of IE will make no difference. I run IE6 SP2 here fine.

Adrian i know the issue wasnt to do with him being on an older version, i just wasnt sure how to cure the problem as ive used Firefox for years.

Hopefully that sorted him then

P.s why run I.E6 instead of the latest one? the latest one has more technology built into it than I.E 6 does

IE7 has issues with our SRA system at work, so the standard image I produce for laptops has to have IE6 for now. Desktop isnt an issue, unless being issued to a home worker using SRA.

Oh right if you cant use it fair enough, i just wondered

KregRS just had another look at your screenshot, your running two search bars at the top? it appears your using both otherwise id have said take one off. Also any reason your system is alerting you to check security settings?

I just found out you can also alter text size by holding down "control" and using the mouse scroll wheel up/down to reduce or increase text size, thats if you have a mouse with a scroll wheel of course

Thanks for the help, adjusted the size as suggested and back to normal. As for security, I know hardly anything about computers, its my gf's laptop, so I leave any issues like that to her to sort out.

well im just saying that red icon near the clock tells you that A. your firewall isnt turned on, and/or B. she hasnt got an antivirus installed or its not up to date, so id get her to sort it before shes complaining of a virus instead of font sizes on the net!
