usb to wifi
can you get such a thing that you can plug in say a digital camera's usb lead to and then it converts it to a wifi signal to appear on your home network as a network drive?
ehm yes you could, if your wifi router suport it
easiest way is though to just plug in it to a computer.
then go to
"my computer"
right click on the usb card ---> properties -----> sharing---->klick on just activate sharing. done
to connect to it hit the "windows key"+ r
then write \\the computer name
hit enter
example \\Alex

Alex_86 thanks mate
that's how i know how to do it now but it's not all that convenient as i don't always have the pc switched on so would have liked another way to send photos to my NAS on my wireless network.
nevermind, the NAS has a USB port where if you plug in something it will automatically copy all files of the device into a storage folder. only slight issue is that the NAS lives i nthe cupboard under the stairs, so it's not as convenient as sitting on the sofa and doing it (lazy fooker that i am
