VLC

video lan client ... the best media player out there, its designed to stream media over a network and because of this it uses very few resources and plays near on everything out there.

Its not pretty, its not attractive but it does what it says on the tin in a very effective manner

The firefox plugin information for vlc can be found here, although when it installs it recognises your browser plugin folder

yes winamp can be aswell, i think the only real reason you'd pick one over the other is that VLC plays pretty much any file.

I use neither though as ive used winamp and vlc(still got it) and they both dont sound as good as when the songs playing through media player, it just sounds better to me thats why i still use media player
