Default creating a secured folder within webspace

I, as no doubt many of us have webspace given to s by our providers (in my case 55mb through ntl/virgin) I have used this over the years for various things but more recently wanted it to store a few files that I didnt particularly want anyone else to look at.

Is it easy to creat a secure folder which requires a name and password to gain entry to it. I have seen it before but havent got a clue as to how it works !

Any info would be great !

Cheers !

Andy

Google HTACCESS.

There will be some basic guides, basically all you do is create a file called ".htacess" that contains the information to access the folder, and drag it into the folder to be protected via FTP.
