Any ideas why a mic wont work,tried two brand new ones,plugged into socket on back of tower with little symbol of a mic,when you go to the audio tuning wizard the speakers are ok but when you test for mic volume nothing happens on the level scale,then the next bit says `no sounds were detected from your mic`Any ideas anyone.

 

Go to control panel, and then Sound and Audio devices and ensure that the recording device is set the microphone and that th volume is turned up

If that doesn't work then I dunno
