since getting my pc back with new hard drive etc, i have looked and looked and cannot find the disc that came with my bluetooth dongle.
can software be downloaded for them?
i ran a search but it just came up with places selling them etc.

can anyone help?

 

There are bluetooth drivers included with Windows XP SP2 however if these do not work its likely you require the Widcomm drivers which can be downloadedfrom the following URL... if these do not work you will have to provide me with more information regarding your bluetooth device

no i plug it in and it wont install.
i will try that link mate now and see what happens.
as for the dongle, all i can tell ya is it cost me a tenner of ebay and has "bluetooth" written on it, thats about it

mate i got to have some bag of crap cos even after downloading that it cant find the device and wont install

 

the widcomm and the defaukt bluey that ships with WindowsXP SP2 are the only drivers I am personally aware of...do you know what the make of the device is

When I bought my first BT dongle (cheapo tenner one off ebay ) it came with a mini-CD with some "BlueSolei" software. It was complete tosh, and kept fucking my PC up

I binned that, bought a better device, which when fitted, was auto installed using the MS drivers. Worked fine, but didn't like the interface too much. Then got hold of the Widcomm stack, and been using it ever since.... I'll try and email it to you, not sure if GMail will let me tho cos it is an exe... Post your email addy up and I'll have a go tho
