Also, define "reasonably priced".

Someone's definition of that may be only £50, whereas mine would be closer to £300...

The card I had on my shopping list (1GB XFX 7950GX2 "XXX-edition") was £488!

Am now waiting until the release of the nVidia 8800 series, to see how prices react...

Two examples:

nVidia 256MB XFX 6800XT (350/1000)
ATI 512MB Sapphire Radeon X1600Pro (500/800)

I've not used ATI in a long time, so someone else will need to comment on the good/bad points on that card, but the nVidia card seems like it's a decent price for a card similar-ish to my own (256MB 6800GT), which will run the likes of Battlefield 2, Half Life 2, etc, without any problems...

Err apart from the fact it will be on lowest settings and look rubbish?
Ive got a geforce 7600GT and even on that its not shit hot or anything, but then my standards are quiet high

If i were you id wait until i had about £150 and spend around that much and you can get at least a card like mine(Ge-force 7600GT) there middle ground cards and will play pretty much anything you throw at it

The last thing you want to do is spend £80-90 and be dissapointed and think "bugger i wish i waited until i had another 30 odd quid"
