Old man asked me to get some software that blocks the spam he has started to get.
Dont have a clue myself as ive always been happy with just a anti-virus program.
Should I get him a Internet Security (norton) program instead that blocks the indenty instead of a plain anti-spam?

Get something like Adaware se or zonealarm pro which has built in anti-spyware/spam, its awesome i never get any crap like that. ![Top](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/smile011.gif)
Adaware se http://www.filehippo.com/download_ad-aware/ free to download.
And Zonealarm pro, this isnt free but its well worth it http://www.zonelabs.com/store/conten...=en&lid=ho_zap
Have a look and see all the things it can do

im not entirely sure what hes asking, first he says spam then he goes onto mentioning antivirus etc
come back and tell us exactly what it is your after, just spam filter or hasnt he even got antivirus or anti spyware either? if its just spam then his email should filter all the crap on its own because my gmail account does that

Just run antivirus on it now so I thought I would get him some software that dont leak out his identity/email and block all them tracking cookies.
He doesnt need one that deletes the incoming spam emails as they are just a few but would be nice to block all them trackers so he dont end up getting more spam mails.
Was thinking about something like Norton Internet Security as we already run their Antivirus (yeah, i know most ppl hate norton

Yeah i hate it, proper resource hog is norton
You seem to be describing zonealarm pro though that can hide identity if you want it to and it also blocks all 3rd party cookies/or ones that you dont want
amongst other things, have a look at my link for it above
