Default Just installed IE7.....

...And tabbed browsing is pretty cool, but think it's gonna take some getting used to

Only thing so far thats a shame is the Google toolbar. It comes with one built into the browser, that when you hit ALT+ENTER it opens in a new tab (ENTER only opens in a new window) but the Google toolbar I previously installed (thats been carried over) opens in a new window on ENTER only, but when you hit ALT+ENTER it opens in the current tab (so if I do it now, it opens over the top of PF) which is a bit of a shame as I prefer that search bar, as it's got more features and in a better place.... Oh well....

What is cool tho is that my GMAIL extension browser button opens in a new tab

Lastly, still annoying (as it was before in IE6) is that the LINKS favourites menu that I put on the browser interface (basically like shortcut buttons to web urls) open over the top of the tab you are in, and not in a new tab (or new window when used with IE6) I was really hoping it was gonna allow them to open in a new tab with this Just means I have to open a new tab and THEN click them...... Ho hum....

Gonna go back to playing with it now

Scratch that last comment, I just figured it out by accident

Hit the link button with the left mouse button and it opens over the top of the current tab (in this case, PF) but if you click it with the centre button (on my mouse that the scroll wheel) it opens in a new tab

Bonus

This is a nifty feature aswell - hit the QUICK TABS button and it shows all your current tabs and you can click on the one you want (if you can't remember which tab is which lol)

The new version of Opera has a tab-preview feature......hover the mouse over the tab, and it shows you what the tab-window looks like underneath it.

Yeah but I do actually use it from time to time - I have a flash card reader/memory stick plugged in and I use it for that sometimes, but the one I need it for is for my mates MP3 player, which you HAVE to stop via the PC (using this disconnect thing) otherwise it corrupts the data on the MP3 player's HDD....

Well it aint really THAT many, i mean ive actually got about 9-10 if i expand the little arrow but none of it is stuff i could do without and it doesnt take long for my pc to boot up(about 50-60seconds) but ive got a decent spec machine not saying you havent thrush by the way

And plus 2-3 of thrush's icons are ones that are on as default like the sounds one and the internet, they dont slow down startup at all

Mine does take a couple mins if you count the time from pressing the button, to when the "busy" light stops flashing.....

But then, when it boots, it loads Zonealarm, AVG (which always does an update) logs into Gmail, boots up Peerguardian, SpywareGuard, Spybot and NetLimiter, and all of these connect too (and start scanning) but it's usuable (ie, open an IE window and go to PF or Gmail etc) within about 60-70secs or so....

Which ain't bad for what is basically, an old hat machine by todays standards. 2.8 P4 (only a 533mHz FSB and L2 cache) and is single core chip.... plus it has 2 HDD's to boot up, 2 optical drives, a third USB HDD ot read, and memory card/usb flash drive to read...

So not the end of the world.....
