How do I get rid of it..... I have had the computer for about 12months now and have no problems what so ever. Then today when I came to restart my computer this genuine verication pop-up appeared.

What it's done, is download the windows genuine validation patch, which check's your s/n to see if it's genuine. Nothing major to panic about at the moment. It will just appear when you log on. Don't for fuck's sake spend Ł90 on a new key. There's a patch for it, and as soon as my next door neighbour sends it to me, I'll let you know

 

so thats what the genuine validation thing is that it keeps downloading everytime i have updates not that its a problem as im all legit
