Ok peeps, i am completley useless at things like this but i got a problem with my internet.
OK i am on broadband, and when ever i look at a web page my comp will try to refresh the passion ford shoutbox auto refresh thingy that apears in the lower task bar, even if i am not using passion ford, it does it all the time even if i am on pf, and is really annoying cause it is making my connection as slow if not slower that dial up
, and makes the threads stop scrolling and it appears to lock up until it refreshes, proper pissing me off
Does anyone please know how to remedy this problem or got any advice i can try to sort it out

Not come across auto re-fresh on braodband, but because broadband is always connected it sometimes needs a re-boot, so unplug modem from mains, leave for 2 mins and replug in, this helps connection run better, also from time to time clear your internet, history, cache & temp files, goto browser buttons, click options, click internet options, under general , click clear, delete cookies, delete history. Now before you do that make sure you have a note of user names & passwords to the site you visit, tip is use notepad to store all these user names + passwords, you can then just copy & paste them into logon boxes on sites.

hi mate thanx for the info, but it is actually trying to refresh the passion ford shout box that appears on the home page of this site, i have no idea why it is doing it all the time. It just keeps trying to refresh the site even if i am on something completley different, i don't get passion ford popping up just the message in the bar at the bottom of the screen that it is refreshing
