Ford Sierra Sapphire 2000e Cosworth V6 BOB 24V Flint Grey
For sale is my Ford Sierra sapphire 2000E fitted with a 2.9 24V Cosworth BOB V6 engine. Flint Grey.
Live Auction link here: https://themarket.co.uk/listings/for...8a?status=live
The gearbox is a hybrid 2wd MT75, this has been built using the 4x4 mt75 bellhousing and gearset fitted to a 2wd gearbox casing and a V6 flywheel from a Cologne engine and uprated high torque clutch. Rear diff is an XR4x4 LSD 7”. The rear beam however is a 7.5” and has a rear anti-roll bar fitted.
As this is the 2000e model, it has disk brakes all round and the front brakes have been upgraded using Ford Scorpio calipers and Sierra Cosworth 4x4 discs (if I remember correctly!). The suspension is polybushed all round. Power steering, front heated screen. The car originally had air conditioning, but this has long since been removed.
Front seats are from the Scorpio Ultima which are electrically operated with heating. The rear seats are black leather Cosworth.
The engine is controlled by a Megasquirt ECU and can be mapped and adjusted via your own laptop. I have had great fun tuning and tweaking the map.
Cosworth front bumper, grill, 4x4 bonnet, spoiler, rear bumper and wheels.
Six former keepers, but in reality it is four as the previous owner was my Dad, and before that it was myself again. I have had this car for 15 years and I feel that it is now time to sell it. I have spent a lot of time over the years bringing it up to a good standard, considering it is 30 years old. It is kept in a garage for most of the year and only comes out on dry days.
I have the original dealer instruction books in a wallet and a history file dating back to when I first purchased the car.
Viewing is recommended as it is not perfect but needs to be appreciated considering the age. There is a small drip of oil coming from the engine, this is just more irritating than anything serious.
Car has just been MOT'ed, exp Oct 2021.
£10,000

Hi Norman,
I gave you a call and left a voicemail. The suspension is spax springs lowered by 40mm if I remember correctly. I have new springs to fit to the front to raise it up so it matches the rear better.
Mike.

This car is now live on an auction site called themarket.co.uk, there are hundreds of photos on there of the car and a write up done by the auction house themselves.

ELASTIC BAND
Bargin you think? Thought it would go for about 5k, that's what i valued it at max IMO. Didn't want to comment on this post before it had sold, as not fair on the seller.

I am suprised as the site you had it on looks so professional with such a good description and loads of photos. I have never been a lover of bidding and have always had a fixed price sale. Is the site not like others that say you have to pay if you are the winning bid?
