Default Sierra Sapphire 2.9 V6 Cosworth *New pics*

Here's my 2wd 2.9 V6 Cosworth in Fusion Blue colour.

2.9 V6 24v BOA engine
XR4 v6 gearbox with quickshift
New Clutch
Superchipped ECU
Cosworth Kit
RS Sideskirts
Cosworth rear beam and LSD
Collins Mounts
Cloth Recaro's
Drilled and Grooved Mintex Discs and pads
Spax Adjustable Suspension
17" OZ Superturismo wheels in white
Smoked Rear Lights
Custom Exhaust (very loud)
2 Subs and 2 amps (also very loud!)

Some of you may have noticed my car for sale a few months ago, blew the gearbox and struggled to find one for a while, so was going to sell it.

Had a few timewasters and eventually decided to keep it after sourcing a gearbox. After all the hassle my mate has managed to get hold of a guy who has quite a few XR4 boxes so won't struggle to get one if I blow another one

Just now it's getting the gearbox, clutch, brakes all round, tyres/new wheels, wax oiled, MOT and tax. Also have a front bumper that needs painted to put on as my bumper is broken.

Here's some pictures of it when it was on the road, will upload more pictures when its all done. Very clean car especially underneath, has never been welded and there is no rot which I suppose is good for a 17/18 year old Saph!!

When it was for sale someone mentioned it here and someone else thought it was a bad one. I assume there is another similar looking car.

Cant wait to see it back on the go

Peterhead.

The gearbox and clutch is in, bottom arm too. Waiting on brakes, and needs 4 tyres too.

My mate Pre- Mot'd it and all was needed was tyres, brakes and a bottom arm. Number plates if you count them too but I have new set anyway.

The car sat for a few months through some bad weather and amazingly still has no rust at all, and also I expected a bit more needed for the MOT. Must be a really good shell so all in all im pleased and just anxious to get her back on the road. November 12th is the target!

Not even bothered checking how low it is, all I can say is, on it's arse!

You would get a slight scuff if there's 5 people in the car, but I don't tend to take that many in the car!

Small update :

All the work needed has been done and was MOT'd on Saturday, failed on fuel tank leaking out the seams. Picked up a brand new one on Saturday for Ł47, will be re-tested this week at some point.

I now have 16" OZ Escort Cosworth Monte Carlo's on

Will get pictures up at the weekend

Yeah them superturismo's put me off white wheels for a while, and seeing as we are expecting snow this week I doubt I will paint them anytime soon!

The wheels have been changed mate.

The height wasn't an issue in the test

They may well end up white, but not until the summer and the snow is gone!! Bad enough cleaning silver wheels in this weather!
