Default 2WD Sierra Sapphire Cosworth for sale - £15000 ono.

Selling my pride and joy to fund a new house. Regrettably.

Engine:

Stage 4 380bhp / 410lb/ft
Forged internals
Mapped by Motorsport Developments
200 block
4X4 head
Anodised adjustable vernier pulleys
T35/0.55 turbo with Mar-M 247 shaft for proper WRC anti-lag, extremely rare
Airtec 100mm intercooler
Airtec 60mm radiator
Airtec turbocooler
Bailey dump valve
Bailey oil breather
Bailey swirlpot
Modified ISCV valve for anti-lag
Pro alloy 4X4 header tank with sight-glass
Siemens 55lb injectors
L8 ECU
Anti-lag
Launch control
Cone air filter
2WD exhaust manifold
Multi layer steel head gasket
4X4 cooling system throughout
Spec-R turbo damper, not a hanger
Uprated FPR
Alloy turbo heatshield + dress up bits
-34 actuator
Silicone hoses
Group A coil
Ford 071C sparkplugs
All timing and aux belts done less than 500 miles ago
Scorpion exhaust
All custom made looms

Transmission:

2WD T5 gearbox
Quaife diff
AP racing 6 paddle clutch

Suspension:

Koni suspension + Ahmed Bayjoo springs. Decided against coilovers to keep the ride smooth as it was my daily driver for 3 years
Front 3DR hubs
Front adjustable TCAs
MT Motorsport 2WD 6 degree beam
MT Motorsport solid beam mounts
Uprated diff mount
Fully polybushed
OMP rear strut brace

Brakes:

AP racing 6 pot CP9040 calipers with 356mm J hook discs and all ancillaries
Ferodo DS2500 pads
Rear 4X4 calipers with 320mm discs

Interior:

Leather all round
Ford racing boost, oil and voltage gauges
Anti-lag and launch control switches
MSD ECU support bracket
3DR RS ECU cover
Alloy sill covers
New heated front windscreen

Exterior:

Compomotive MO6 18X8 wheels with silver centrecaps
Toyo Proxes T1R tyres 215/35/18
Amber lights all round
4X4 vented bonnet

Bad points:

Rear arches are starting to go. Brand new correct replacement arches included
Front splitter and paint is stonechipped in some places due to normal wear and tear as a daily driver

Dry stored. NCT (Irish MOT) + tax for 1 year.

Less than 1000 miles on the new parts, beam, brakes, wheels and tyres.

Price is £15000 / €17500 or nearest offer. Willing to do a good cash deal. Job lot of parts included in the sale.

Cheers.

Looks a reasonable car mate but in the blue, with leather and rusty rear arches 20k is well over priced imo, I think you’d be better off dropping the price to around 14k and seeing if you have better luck

Cheers Paul

I see that too lately. Maybe time of year or interest is elsewhere, who knows. Seen some other stuff, Ford and non Ford, for sale for ages and ages...

I was up at Castle Combe for the Autumn Classic on the 5th October and there was a completely standard 2wd Saff , not sure of mileage but it looked nice up for over £20k. Not sure if it got sold.

Yes I see the standard stuff for big money generally on ebay but don't know if they're selling or not.

Love a crystal Saph. Cossie’s do seem to have come down a fair bit. Everything seems to just sit for months and not sell.

There are fewer Sapphire Cosworths on the road now than 3 door Cosworths, especially 2wd models so I think good ones will still fetch strong prices.
