Yep you are the voice of reason and common sense as always Paul. I just don't listen which isn't good really.
You would have been better off doing your own car, at least Tina would have been more grateful and something you will own for a very long time.

So true and now it's totally rebuilt that 35k miles from new means nothing.
The guy who is selling it is claiming he has done all the work yet we all know Lee sorted 90% of it.
He can't even fit the decals in the correct positions.

I know Rich, same old story, get it all nice and then get bored and sell it, typical me really as I'm sure many on here will already know. Next...I honestly have no idea right now, I can't even think about it just yet, early days at the minute.

Very true, will have taken value off it's originality surely, goes to show low milers is not good for these type of cars, left standing about. To many people are blinkered by low miles, they don't think what it can mean for the car regarding certain parts deteriorating, in this case a 35k car with a porous head, had to be thrown in the bin.

How'd the head go? just water sitting in it when not used or bad casting?

over sized tappet bores due to being shunted around and not properly driven.

That's direct from last owner who wanted a spare head off me.
