3 door cosworth with rs500 parts SOLD SOLD SOLD
here for sale is my 3 door, dont really want to sell it but since moving house and not having a garage or driveway anymore its just not getting used and is a shame for it to be sat gathering dust
ive owned it about 3 years now its a good clean car with genuine rs500 upper and lower spoilers, front bumper and front splitter which are worth 1000's on their own!
its never been welded nor does it need any and is all painted white underneath with the suspension parts powdercoated black
the car has been converted to 4x4 by the previous owner the shell has not been chopped or welded in anyway to do this conversion so can easily be restored back to 2wd if wanted, i never bothered as i loved the grip it gave in sun rain or snow lol
it has a 4x4 engine with 200 block which as we know is the better of the cosworth engines
the dash is uncracked but does have two tiny pinpricks in the top of it like something has been mounted to it at some point i will get some pics of it in the next day or so
it has no side mouldings on in the pictures as im waiting for them to arrive but will update pictures when they arrive in next couple of days.
the car drives spot on allthough the biting point on the clutch is a little low, it doesnt slip at all even when booted and for some reason has always been low since i fitted it last year (approx 1500 miles ago) i never bothered looking into why as like i say it works fine other than that
the gearbox has a quickshift fitted and goes in all gears fine but at motorway speeds in 5th does have a very very slight whine to it, its done this since i bought it and has done several trips to sant pod, donnington etc.. and never got any worse
the headlining could do with re trimming as it is sagging a bit in the middle
the seats are bang on with no worn bolsters, rips or fag burns
the car is hpi clear and has original panels and no accident damage allthough it was originally moonstone blue it has been repainted white before i bought it, its a proper job and was stripped to a bare shell to do so it was painted inside outside and underneath and still looks good tho has a few little stone chips as to be expected on a car of this age
if i think of anything else ill add it over the next week the spec is

midly ported nick waples head (as told to me by previous owner, i have no reciepts or proof but when msd set it up they said this is possible as they had to add more fuel than normal for a stage 3 setup)

silicone boost and upper and lower rad hoses
group a breather system with catch tank and aeroquip fittings

standard front and rear (surprisingly stops well)

standard x5 if being picky could do with wet flatting and re laquering but have no kerb marks and are fitted with yokohama tyres
mileage is about 76 thou and i am the 5th owner
dont have any service book with it but have reciepts from previous owner and some old mot's and tax discs plus i can print off reciepts for what i have spent on it since owning it as they are on my computer.
price is £14000 or nearest offer. i may take a px on a 2wd saff or mk1 focus rs up to the value of £6000

yeah it is but ive used it once this year for classic ford and thats it, i cant park it were i live now as i struggle to park even one car outside my house and there are 3 of us here who drive and its a shame for it to be sat there it needs to be used! plus i have a mk2 escort with cossie engine that ive owned since i was 17 that needs building and the money from this would help with that lol

Awesome car.
If. Had the bottle/buyers etc id buy it, strip the 500 bits off, put them on mine and then put the standard ones back on that.
Putit back up for sale at 13.5k. Sorted. Lol
