Bam real sorry to hijack your thread but Nick what do u mean about the swirl flaps being blanked off? Im looking at buying one of these very soon but dont know anything about them having always being a ford man.

 

I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it is common for the swirl flaps to crumble/break off, and then enter the engine causing damage. People then modify them (Not sure how) to stop this from happening.

Like I said, I could be wrong.

I believe the problem was only upto 2002 model after that they sorted that issue, i am only going on what i was told when we were considering them for the missus.

GLWS dude that is a swet car and would of been an option if she didn't want a focus.
