Never Get Overtaken Again!
On offer here is something a little bit different. Its a 2000, X reg, ex-South Yorkshire police car!
All "police" text has now been removed. Its quite clearly been maintained regardless of cost, as all Police cars are. It has 12 months mot and 6 months tax. There are blue lights in the grill and on the roof bar. The car is fitted with a Premier Hazard control panel and even comes with some Police radio equipment; although this is non functional.
I have taken my kids to school in this for the past week and they love it. Maybe you are looking for a slightly different public hire vehicle, something to hire out in the coming Christmas period or, like me, just want to drive round in something a little bit different! Everyone lets you out at junctions and of course no one dares overtake you!
The car is in good order. There are a few battle scars here and there but its still a massive eye catcher. There are electric front windows and Air Conditioning. All the tryes are branded and look brand new. The car stops, turns and drives very well.
I am looking for £1500. The lightbar is probably worth a few hundred pounds. I would consider a part exchange on pretty much anything.
PM me or email me:

Blue Lights
I have checked the Lighting Vehicle Regulation Act and you are not allowed to DISPLAY blue lights. I currently have the light bar covered up and the blue lights in the grill are not on display. I plan to tint the lightbar covers using tinted light spray. That way it will be fully legal.

Da Law!
Its not impersonating a Police car as all Police text and badges have been removed. That is why its legal for private security vans and cars and even plumbers or builders to have flouro-type graphics.

It is legal. At my work we supply replica police vehicles for the BBC ans Scottish Television. Fully police prep'd Volvo's, Mondeos and astras. We can deliver them to sets with the floursecent stickers etc on however any local constabulary(sp) crests/text must be covered.
Cool novelty car for someone, best of luck with the sale

PS - ALL police text has been removed

You dont have a merc. You have a mondeo. Which is pretty much equilavent of the focus, astra diesels that go through the police auctions up here every other month. Between £1100 to £1800 depending on the miles mate.
Anyway good luck with the sale.

bargain now!
Its on ebay. I have removed all of the police text and tinted the top lightbar in black. Its fully legal for road use as it now is and has no reserve, so grab a bargain.
