Mk2 Granada lowrider
i never thought id have to do this but for want of a better explination , im a builder and my livelyhood is rapidly going up shit creek ! its either sell the cars to cover losses or loose the house .
some of you have seen the car but its only been to 2 local shows so most havent .
the car is a 1985 2.8i ghia x exec , ive been led to believe there arent that many GENUINE models still registered in the uk
it has undergone a complete restoration job which if you include the time the previous owner spent on it , has taken over 11 years .
there has been thousands upon thousands of pounds spent on the old girl on both purchasing new replacement parts and having parts chromed or polished including door boot and bonnet hinges/catches and engine parts etc etc . the standard wood trim was replaced with burr walnut .
i had the paintwork done a couple of years ago but unfortunately a few slow reactions apeared which meant a couple of months ago i had to have the front end bare metalled and re painted . 2 of the doors have a couple of reactions showing so to make it perfect they would need to be done .
there is no rust whatsoever , never been welded and hopefully never will be .
as with most cars there are things that i have been meaning to do but just havent had the time or space to do it , they are
replace the interior heater pipes as they are not correct and the passenger one interfears with the glove box
the front screen interior pillar trims are missing
the ignition casing lower part got stolen when i was putting the car together
the rear headrest tubes need clipping in
and the cibbies need wiring up
there are probably other bits but tbh i really cant think of them.
Just to make the old girl stand out i decided hydraulics would be a good idea , so i bought and fitted 4 rayvern pumps which give it front back side to side and 3 wheel motion . there are 6 batteries in the boot powering the system plus 2 spare . it runs at 12v but can easily be wired to run 24v which will make it move a hell of a lot quicker (probably tear the car apart / hence not doing it).
some people may well say ive ruined the car by fitting hydro's and i kinda agree which is why i fitted them without doing any unrepairable damage ! meaning the standard parts can be fitted straight back on with a couple of large washers used on the rear shock mounts
as i allready said i had every intention of sorting all the niggly bits out but i gotta make sacrafices for the family so here it is .
if anyone is interested and decides to buy the old girl they will need to bring a transit sized van with them for all the spares and i really mean that . ihave boxes in the loft , boxes in the garage aswell as sacks with door panels and chrome trims , new bumpers dashboards etc etc etc it all has to go .
pics
price £2,500
i dont think its overpriced but i have no doubt some of you will
forgot to say was mot'd a couple of months ago and has about 4 months tax

That is quality. Always fancied somethin like this and not a lot of cash either. I thought it would've been more with it being restored aswel.
Shame i've no spare money at the moment.

cheers buddy , gna be gutted when she sells been offered 2k so far , might have to bite the bullet on this one and let her go .
oh and craig , yes m8 the spare wheel well is no longer round on the bottom , it touches slightly if you dump the rear fast with the front lifted , good for getting sparks whilst moving , although not a police officers favourite move

u can see the lower steering cowel missing
obviously the pioneer flip screen isnt going with the car .
the hydaulics , looks a bit messy . just never got round to tidying up the switch box wires or batt cables .
update , so far have been offered the full amount for the car , but have someone coming to view on sunday , if steve doesnt buy it , its first come first served .

well cool - i have a few mates with mk2 grannies and always loved em.
1 mate has a proper minter in black and its lovely and he has chrome wire wheels for it which actually really suit the car.
another used to have a light blue one with the old skool 5 spokes (cant remember what thye called now).
