Bmw M5 E39
my old bmw m5 has ended up back in my ownership and as much as im tempted to keep it as i really did regret selling it for an e46 m3,i now have an e36 track car and would have to sell that to justify keeping the m5 which i dont really want to do.
well,the car is v reg in the best colour-silverstone blue metallic.the paintwork and body is in excellent condition throughout.
the interior is full black leather with the optional extra leather trimmings(centre console,lower door cards etc etc all black leather) along with optional black alcantara roof lining.
also has the communications pack,sat nav,tv,brand new hands free kit.heated seats,traction control,sport mode button,extra heating,tyre pressure monitoring system,cruise control,multi function steering wheel.xenon lights also has dvd player with screens in rear headrests
i bought this from a big ferrari specialist last year so its come from a good home....
the car has just covered 90000 miles and has full service history,plus a printout of all extra warranty work done by bmw which includes both vanos units.comes with long mot and 6m tax(which is only £99 as its a 2000 car!).
as anyone who has owned/driven one of these will know they are an awesome machine and can do things you wouldnt expect a car of this size to do!with 400 bhp and 360 lb torque standard they really are fun cars.also have 6 spped manual gearbox and the fuel computer is showing average mpg of over 23!...
i have changed the front pads to ds2500 and replaced the brake fluid for race stuff as i did a tackday at donnington in it on the 27th dec last year,where it was awesome and didnt miss a beat all day.
this is by far and away the best car i have ever owned-big,comfy and very powerful,with bmw reliability.......what more can you ask for?
i need to sell it pretty quick before i end up deciding to put my m3 up for sale instead so im looking for £10500 ovno.a very good price
will get some more pics up later;
some of its trackday at oulton park last year;
a couple when i bought it from a ferrari specialist last year.

Hi Jay - has that M5 got a dealer history or some independent too ? has it got an extended BMW warranty has i'm led to believe if it has it can be extended but once lapsed you can't add it back on. Also what month 2000 was it as the facelift was June 2000.

Cheers, does that mean it's had an engine change from BMW then ? if it has how many miles on the current engine ? i've heard of the Vanos thing on the M3 before but never really looked into it, sounds expensive, can you tell when the Vanos was changed on the car from yer paperwork too ?

it the original engine-they changed some of the engine bits in the later cars.apparently all the ones with light grey clocks are the later cars-the t reg ones had different coloured clocks.
its had the vanos units changed under warranty at 55k miles.
they do suffer from a slight momentary rattle from start up which is acceptable for a second or so.
i have all the paperwork showing every warranty claim from bmw-thanks to carlo off here.
