You could put an E prefix registration mark on it but you would have to find one to transfer onto this car. What you couldn't do is attempt to have an E prefix allocated to it by the DVLA now that it's been registered on a K.

I CANT SEE EVERYONES PROBLEM...WE ALL KNOW THAT IT MIGHT NOT BE A GENUINE RS500, BUT HAVING SEEN THE CAR AT THE ACE CAFE LAST MONDAY NIGHT, ID HAVE TO SAY THAT IT LOOKED STUNNING.

How can advertising it as an RS500 when it isn't NOT be trying to pull the wool over peoples eyes
If someone who wasn't too clued up saw it and bought it assuming it was as advertised don't you think they would have a case when they found out it wasn't genuine at all 
I understand it once had an 8 injector plenum etc....but this has been removed by the last owner so not only is it not an RS500 but it isn't even a decent rep of one either!

it is lovely i must admit i do like it alot. ive seen it alot at reading cruise, ace cafe etc. looks lovely. if i had the wedge i would buy it defo. but im not having a pop.....but i do agree with this lot that if ya put it up as a 3dr and tell all the history im sure your get good big money for her good luck with the sale

Is the chassis number stamped in the floor or on the
strut top,as you say it is a reshell?

not all rs500 need to be of the 500 run of cars ford made,
some copys are worth more than others
as the gnuine race ones are worth a bit more than road cars anyway

if n e 1s interested id recomend you buy this cossie. always see it at ace cafe, driver seems sensible. always wanted to see it in a stright line and got to see that at febs meet when he was leaving... all i gotta say is FOR F**K SAKE THIS THING BLOWS!

the 10k one got retraked, anyway never mind got new diff today so she will be back on the road tomorrow and someone comming out to view and maybe do me a deal on 4x4 saff so we'll have to wait and see

A few questions.
Can you confirm that this was assembled from parts using a new shell?
Why is there a ford vin tag and build colour plate attached to the front panel if it's a car assembled from parts? What is the origin of that ID?
Was the current registration mark assigned to the vehicle when it was registered in 92? or has that been put on the car since then?
Was the registration mark once on a sapphire cosworth? I think I have seen it before in the Newcastle area, but could be wrong.
Are you interested in selling the registration mark seperately?

I have just read the whole thread and have not spotted any comments slagging this car off. Am I reading a different thread to you?
It's a nice looking 3 door made from a beyond repair RS500 from what I can tell. Not a genuine RS500.....
