won't dvla register it as a kit car seems a bit dodgy putting another cars id on it??? imo
your not really using the ID,its for an age related plate which also doubles up to avoid a cat exhaust and other silly rules they have now put into place, its only a bit of paper to say you have used 3 of the 5 main items from the donor car,the chassis or reg number dosent even get used
simple really, anyway Iam not going to argue about it I do know a little about this
When you get the new plate Pete dose the kit car get stamped with a new VIN?
most kit car chassis come with a VIN stamped into them this is the one that gets registered if no number is stamped into the chassis the DVLA issues you with one which you stamp into the chassis
Got ya' just i have a unstamped saph shell and i dont know how i want to go about it yet
if you have a unstamped brand new shell and you can proove it,just use the ID off the donor car you are replacing the body shell just like and other panel change really,I wouldnt stamp the floor this looks dodgy I would stick the old chassis number onto the floor them you can proove the shell hasnt been tampered with
