Default Mk4 Escort Eclipse - What Colour?

First off, Dr. Nick style, "Hi Everybody!"

I've been lurking about here for a while, having recently downgraded from a modified Minor to one of these off-pink Escorts. (previously had loads of mk1 and 2 fiestas so not a Ford virgin)

Anyway, do any of you lot know what colour the Eclipse is?

I'm not totally stupid and have checked the vin plate (u4) but I cant find this colour anywhere. I've had a nose around and I think the colour is 'Aporto Red'.

Can anyone confirm this?

Cheers
Jon

G47 TTU
Thanks!

I did cock-up though, the U was a 0.
I think it should be 40 which to my research comes up as 'Flambeau Red'.

Confirmation would be great though as I'm not at all sure.
The local branch of halfwits certainly dont sell it.

Yeah, I'm going to go with Flambeau (sp?)

The colours faded so it'll need some blending in and mucking about with anyway - a job I dont fancy with it being sodding metallic.

Still, it was cheap and, aside from one door, mint.
For some reason the 'rubbish' spec escorts seem to last better than the 'high' spec ones... just a shame its a 4 door so I'll never get that RS look.

Yup.
Based in Dorset
If you ever visit Portland, look out for the Eclipse with a hardboard rear door quarter window.
The only good thing was, the thieves didnt take anything. One look at my Ford Cassette player put them right off.

Anyway, happy result. I found an intelligent chap at Halfords who made me the correct colour.(yes you did read that right!).
All I need to do now is feather in my repairs to match the faded original paint and lacquer it all.
