hello folks the gf has just brought a 1.4 puma and the engine rattles dun 70k checked the oil need about half a litre at the most but do these suffer anything in particular?

Nothing that springs to mind tbh as they're fiesta's basically underneath with a tweaked suspension setup.
Just check bushes and general suspension stuff (although g/f has one on 80K wth original setup and still fine) and exhaust.
Any other questions, just ask

 

they tend to eat the old main bearings
make sure you use 5w30 too

 

these engines also suffer from piston slap but normaly around the 90/100k mark also noisy valves but again normaly at higher milage
