please please someone help me lol
i have a 2.3 volvo b5234t3 engine from a 96' 850 and i want to marry it up to a ford gearbox, preferrably type 9
does anybody know of anyone who makes an adapter kit for them,
what bellhousing to use,
and will the spline from the t9 layshaft match the spline on the volvo clutch?
engine mounts etc i can make no probs but making the gearbox fit is making my head hurt
any help greatly appreciated even if it is to tell me im crazy and it wont work lol.

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
The splines on the clutch should not be to much bother as you may be able to remove the Volvo friction plate and replace with a ford one
Adaptors are not hard to make ,
But it may be worth try mike Jennings at Harrow cross bodyworks
He makes a bell housing for the type 9 to a sigma so he may be able to mod a raw casting to suit you
He is also the guy behind the cosworth hart plenium before A/S ripped him off

For a casual, thep100 has the original engine SOHC 2.0???
I need to find a documentation of P100 to legalize my project in Spain. Here only 1.8TD engine was soldand I need a proof that it is also marketed with2.0 petrol engine.

Wahay!! I've lost my Virginity!!
T5-swapps is a common thing here in sweden. If you want a gearbox that can handle the torq from the T5 the BMW ZF is the only way. M90 from 960 will work but got a soft spot and thats the 3de gear. the down side with the ZF is the gear ratio.
Volvo 740 is the car that is the most T5 swapped car in Sweden but there is some Sierras this is one i know.
