hi thinking of purchasing a series 1 and want to know if anybody knows bait about its history B23 GTY as on the RS owners club database it states broken up for spares was wondering if anybody could help

What's the "RS owners club database"?

As the RSOC S1 Registrar I hold the binders of S1s registered with the RSOC and no member has asked me to check out that registration - Puzzled.

My mate Stuart owned it many moons ago, It then went to a guy called Will, who I think broke the car! It was in Scotland for a long time.

My brother owned B27 GTY. Was stolen and used in a armed post office robbery back in the 80's. Think that one is still owned by some one and is on the database. Im sure ive seen a few with near identical plate to that, couple of digits apart. Could be just mistake

The car had been broken for spares at one point, but RsDarren bought it and has since rebuilt it. The information was pre-rebuild.

Has had some serious time and effort put in to it daz did an amazing job of the car

As Lee says, Darren has done an incredible amount of work to this car. He bought it as a box of bits and built it back up into a very nice modified S1

It's deffo worth a look
