Default Klebbe - Sierra Cosworth Road Warrior

Objectives:
Building a Sierra who goes 11sek at the strip with full leather interior, so you can go to car shows with the kids. Racing seats and cage I have outgrown.

I'm from Sweden so can get a little spelling problem

Bought a Sierra Cosworth in 2001 and rebuilt it according to the rules, in the years I was in two minds to either sell or rebuild. My first cosworth I built to go on a track with but it becomes so that you never use it.
In the end I sold my first Sierra in parts and bought a brand new car.
The biggest reason was that the new body was in extremely fine condition against the old.
The new Sierra is bulid to go on the road!

Join

Engine compartment before demolition. Kalbar and tubing in this way, I am allergic to!
The car has a very well built engine but the installation was a bit to be desired.

Engine out:

The battery ends up in bagagen, the weight distribution and the distribution box is under the dash.

Glad you like it

Starting to mount back the enginebay.

Engine Overhaul.
Were no cracks in the manifold and any thread that was pie in the trough so took the opportunity to do a review of the machine. Since I do if some electricity etc. so it's easier to remove it.
Around the same time so I mount the ARP bolts and ACL bearings in the bottom part. New timing belt, etc. so you know that everything is fresh.

Bolts and bearings.

Mounted

Change thread to your tension rollers if you have not done it, they give way with time!

New oil return to the crankcase breather. Moves of this to the "cold" side, this gives a more cleant space and there are no problems with the heat from the turbo / exhaust manifold.

Oilpump.

Engine back in the enginebay.

Sitting a cruel nice chassis of the car, can not compare with what I have gone on before.

After much shilly-shallying back and forth as it goes on 355mm brakes with 6kolvs ok. Set 330mm with 4kolvs ok from Volvo on the car when I bought it. They worked fine but these bets crazy good

Your engine spec is identical to my old engine ,except for cams and turbo ,you should run 11s no problem as long as you can get it off the line ,looking really good

Some eletrical improvment, mission is to hide cables from the engine bay.

Moved cable harness to the intake side, so has taken up a new hole in the bulkhead for the harness. The ports during the intake instead of over. It provides a cleanare look Then you extend the spreader cables a bit. Now it was new contacts and cable sleeving from Elfa.

Was in two minds whether to run with leather door panels or flocked, gets flocked as the board is flocked, it feels like it gets better?

Almost finished on the inside:
[url=http://www.garaget.org/mypage/gallery_image.php?user=755&image=2115487][img]http://www1.garaget.org/gallery/images/1/755/755-9f3f5222818

Screwed Together, my battery box with a main switch, chose not to have one at the driver's seat because I want the original look left as much as possible, might be changed during the process.
This ends up centered between the spring towers back.

Even plugged in instrumentation and installed back the entire interior.

Was a little garage time tonight so have started with the fuel system.

Switched connections in the rail and regulator and pulled a new hose under the car.

Time to remove the old one.

Switched connections in the controller.

Cut the new hose.

Attaching the AN fitting.

First hose finished.

Assembled and ready.
